Privacy Policy

iFeely is an app for couples, made by Dmitrijs Sizovs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, where it is stored and how you can delete it. We keep data to what the features need, we never sell it and there are no ads in iFeely.

1. Information we collect

• Account
  You sign in with Apple. We receive an anonymous user ID from Apple, not your name or email address (we don't ask for them). You choose a nickname that your partner sees.
• What you share with your partner
  Moods, answers to the daily question, Sparks (short messages and photos), the photo of the day, reactions, your anniversary and milestones. These are stored on our servers so they can reach your partner's devices and widgets.
• Location (optional)
  If you turn on distance, the app uses your precise location to show how far apart you are and the weather where each of you is. We store only your most recent position and time zone, not a history of where you've been.
• Health (optional)
  If you join the step battle, the app reads your daily step count from Apple Health and shares it with your partner. It only reads steps and never writes to Apple Health.
• Purchases
  Payments are handled by Apple. We receive the status of your subscription (for example, active or expired), never your payment details.
• Device and diagnostics
  A push notification token so we can send notifications you've allowed; crash reports and performance data from Firebase Crashlytics; and app usage events from Google Analytics for Firebase (for example, which features are used). We use these only to keep the app working and improve it, not for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• Feedback and support
  Ratings and feedback you send from the app, and your email address and message if you write to us.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the app: syncing moods, answers, photos, steps and distance with your partner, widgets and the Dynamic Island.
• To send the notifications you've allowed, such as a new mood from your partner or a streak reminder.
• To manage your subscription and any promo codes you redeem.
• To fix crashes, keep the service secure and understand which features to improve.
• To answer your feedback and support requests.
• We never sell your personal data, show ads or share your data with advertisers.

3. Where your data is stored and who processes it

• Google Firebase
  Our servers run on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, App Check, Google Analytics and Crashlytics). The database and files are stored in the European Union. Google acts as our processor under the Firebase data processing terms.
• Apple
  Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, the App Store (payments), push notifications and WeatherKit. To show the weather, your location is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service.
• Your partner
  Everything listed under "What you share with your partner", your step count and your distance are visible to the partner you connect with. Nobody else can read them.

4. How long we keep it and how to delete it

• Your data is kept while you have an account.
• Spark photos are deleted after your partner opens them.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This deletes your account and profile. Shared content (moods, answers, photos and Sparks) is deleted once neither of you is connected to it anymore.
• Analytics and crash data are kept by Google for a limited time and are not linked to your name.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict how we process it. Write to us and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We process your data to provide the service you asked for (contract) and, for analytics and crash reports, based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable.

6. Children

iFeely is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes we'll also let you know in the app.
